FAQ

What is the difference between non-medical home care and home health?

Home health requires a doctor's prescription and is provided by licensed medical professionals providing treatment at home. In contrast, non-medical home care is customizable support and companionship without a prescription, ideal for activities of daily living and everyday support around the house.

How do I pay for private home care services?

We accept private pay (out of pocket), Medicaid and most forms of insurance. When it comes to insurance let us know the provider and we'll handle all the rest.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

We are compliant with any state registration and licensing requirements and our bonding provides an extra layer of protection for both you and our caregivers. Additionally, we have taken proactive measures to ensure that we are covered by insurance in case of any unforeseen circumstances. At HomeWell, we value your safety, security and satisfaction above all else.

Why should I consider Private In-Home Care Services?

Private home care enables a person to live as independently as possible without having to give up the comforts of their own home. It allows them to be in a familiar environment, sleep in their own bed at night, and stay close to loved ones like family, friends, and pets. It also brings peace of mind to know they have access to skilled, consistent, reliable care when it's needed, even if those needs change. Also, when compared to other alternatives of care, home care can be significantly more cost effective.

Do I need a doctor's order to receive home care services?

No. While we often work in collaboration with medical care teams to support a client's established care plan, physician's orders or referrals are not required when it comes to receiving non-medical home care services.
